I have a built head, had the exhaust ports made extra large specifically for the SC, using stock cams and Ferrea valvetrain. I don't know if the 310cc injectors will be big enough, I've never used anything smaller than 440's, but other than that it looks fine. Be sure to adjust your cams on a dyno to get the most out of it.

Yeah, I've noticed that some Shell stations have a "92 Octane" sign. That should be illegal because it's false advertising.
California regulations only allow 91 octane. No matter what the sign says, you aren't getting higher than 91. |

.I have a couple of questions.
1 - Who has adjustable cam gears? Did they make a difference? What are the settings? 2 - Who has methanol injection? I just bought the snow performance kit and it’s supposed to reduce the temps considerably |

^^An adjustable gear for a SOHC isn't that beneficial, but adjustable gears for DOHC motors are always beneficial with FI because you can dial out overlap and net yourself some extra boost that would otherwise be blown out the exhaust valves.

Does anyone know what could cause my engine to bog and die at random times after a bit of dirving on a jrsc gsr? Could it be a stubborn idler pulley with some dirt in the bearings, etc?

What do you mean by part throttle...when cruising, like jumping around in power? Could this cause some random hesitation and rough idle too?
This is helpful, thanks for the input. |

just bought a new idler pulley for the lower tensioner and noticed it didnt come with any spacers causing only three ribs to contact the alternator double pulley. and also it didnt come with any washers so when i tightened down the bolt all the way it causes the pulley to not spin freely. my pulleys arent aligned properly. any tips?
